This training introduces speakers to two essential skills: problem-solving and consensus-building.

It teaches them the value of healthy disagreements which make ideas better.

  

Speakers become familiar with the 6 steps used in our problem-solving model and work together on a team to put those steps to use to build consensus to solve a real-life problem. Moderator and Student Facilitator training is done prior to the training sessions.

 

 

Eligibility

 

Team Members

  • Students who have completed YSG 1 

  • OR

  • Students who are 14 years old or older

 

 

Student Facilitators

  • Must be a Guild Inductee who served as a Student Instructor at a 2017 4:12 Conference

  • Uses ICCinc.org email to access training materials

  • Student Facilitators must commit to 1 hour of additional training to be completed by March 8 to serve in this role.Adults

    • Adults are welcome to attend! 
  • This Facilitator Training is an asynchronous, recorded training.

  • Needed: one Student Facilitator for every 3-5 team members

 

Moderators

  • Adult at least 20 years old

  • Commit to participate in Moderator Training (approx 2 hours)

  • Use ICCinc.org email to access training materials

  • Module A - Training

  • Module B - Practice

  • Both are included in the fee.

 

 

Registration Fee

  • $35 for students who have completed YSG 1 (Team Members and Facilitators)

  • $50 for students 14 years old or older who have not completed YSG 1 (Team Members)

  • $25 for adults attending with a student ($0 chapter parents)

  • $0 for Moderators

  • Fee for Student Facilitator and Moderator training included in registration

  • 50% of all fees will be credited to the area to be used for future scholarships.


Participants should bring an afternoon snack, water bottle, pen/pencil, and paper. Sticky notes or index cards may be helpful.

 

Lunch

All participants should pack a sack lunch and drink.
