Ambassador Internship/ Prospective Ambassador Internship

Touring Ambassador Internship Description

The internship program within the Institute for Cultural Communicator is designed to accomplish several objectives within the organization:

  •  Provide advanced leadership training for young leaders;
  •  Provide peer mentoring for conference participants 6 to 18 years of age;
  •  Offer helps and encouragement to their parents, teachers, and coaches.

To accomplish these objectives, touring Ambassadors receive ongoing instruction and directed study in a variety of skills including: rhetoric, leadership, teaching, curriculum development, group dynamics, peacemaking, project and people management, leadership skills, organizational systems, and administration to name a few.

This will equip them for the duties they will be required to perform: teaching, planning all conference activities, adapting curriculum and programs to event demographics, facility management, scheduling of all activities, interacting with church and community leaders, driving, packing, cooking, representing the Institute at various events. For more insight into the responsibilities of ICC Ambassadors see the Roles and Responsibilities. Applicants to the Ambassador Program should be ready for and desire to grow in these and other communication and leadership skills.

2017-2018 ICC Internship Application FAQs

Ambassador Internship Requirements

To aid you in deciding whether applying to the ICC internship program is for you, the following expectations are listed:

Conduct

Ambassadors are to be prepared to adhere to standards of conduct and behavior while representing ICC. Often these standards are more rigid than those we are free to enjoy within our own families. Many, though not all of these standards are listed here. Due to the ever-changing nature of what we do, it is often necessary to adapt or modify these as we move through a conference tour.

Application Process
