The Area Student Leader Council members work in their local area to mentor current and upcoming student leaders and to build connections between adult leadership and student leadership. 

 

Eligibility and requirements 

 

  • Guild Inductee

  • 15-years-old or older

  • OCC Certification (taken in two parts: Online Basics and Online Intermediate)

  • Peacemaking Intro (those who served on PREP in 2015, 2016, 2017 may have already completed this work. View "Professional Development" on your member profile to validate)

  • Student Leader in Chapter or having served in this role within the past year 

  • RSA or PREP Team within the past 12 months

  • Applicant will need to have participated live on a minimum of 8 SL calls (YSG connection calls and/or quarterly International SL calls) 

 

Commitments

Available to commit to:

  • At least one international event (either IGNITE Winter Retreat or iCON or PREP/Media PREP)
  • As well as one local training event (such as the fall conference)
  • One local ICCFS Tournament
  • Area training as available
  • Available to commit to all YSG Connection Calls during 14 month term as well as one International Student Leader call  per quarter
